The trip location is changed from the Toms River because of low water levels on the Toms.   Recent rain has raised water levels sufficiently for a trip on this less frequently paddled beautiful upper section of the Wading in the heart of the pine barrens.  The river twists and turns and portions of the initial miles are less than 1 boat wide.  Basic boat control skills and stamina are needed for this longer trip.  The time on the water for this 10.8 mile paddle is approximately 5.5 hours.  The Wading River is approximately 70 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.

Meet at Speedwell Pull off of Greenbank Chatsworth Road onto the shoulder after the bridge 3.8 miles South of Chatsworth NJ, Coordinates 39.76384290272266, -74.54234337611173.  We will drop off the boats and leave participants there to look over them while we shuttle our cars to Godfrey Bridge.

Take Out: Godfrey Bridge, Godfrey Bridge Road, Chatsworth, NJ. (Just past Wading Pines Camping Resort)  Coordinates: 39.6899358895259, -74.54693459022903.  At the end of the trip, we will use the vehicles left at Godfrey to take drivers back to Speedwell to get their vehicles and get everybody and their boats back together
