Philadelphia Canoe Club
Come with containers ready to pick ripe blueberries hanging overhead and on the banks of the creek from you boat along the upper portion of the trip. The creek blazes a crooked and at times narrow path through a prime portion of the Pine Barrens within Double Trouble State Park. The time on the water to pick blueberries and paddle 7 miles is approximately 5.5 hours. One dam must be portaged. We will eat lunch along the way. Cedar Creek is approximately 90 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.
At the end of the trip anyone who wants to pick more blueberries can drive to the Double Trouble State Park main entrance, walk 5 minutes to the White Bridge over Cedar Creek and pick from the high bush blueberry plants beside the bridge.
