Philadelphia Canoe Club
Paddle the attractive tea-colored waters of this beautiful undeveloped pine barrens river. Boats 13’ or less are recommended. Good boat control skills are necessary to maneuver around obstacles and the sharp twists and turns in the river. The time on the water for this 4 mile paddle is approximately 4 hours. We will take a break and eat lunch along the way. The Great Egg River is approximately 55 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club
Meet at Piney Hollow Road , Williamstown, NJ. Coordinates: 39.62044579539091, -74.89278417521568. We will drop off the boats and leave participants there to look over them while we shuttle our cars to Route 54.
Take Out: Route 54, Folsum, NJ, .4 miles North of Route 322. Coordinates: 39.59503609404531, -74.85097407954504. At the end of the trip, we will use the vehicles left at Route 54 to take drivers back to Piney Hollow Road to get their vehicles and get everybody and their boats back together.
To Go On This Trip: Click "REGISTER" and complete the registration Information. Participants must have completed an American Canoe Association (ACA) Waiver. ACA Members must complete a paper waiver the morning of the trip if you have not previousoly completed one on a 2026 trip. You will need your ACA membership number to complete the waiver. Individuals who are not ACA members must complete a 1 day event membership waiver and pay $10 cash the morning of the trip.
Requirements:
Have a set of dry clothes with you in the boat.
