Rainfall this week has raised water level sufficiently to start the trip on the less frequently traveled upper Perkiomen Water Trail.  Paddle through class 1 rapids, ripples and moving water past wooded gorges and bluffs and the towns of Schwenksville and Collegeville.  The time on the water for this 11.5 mile paddle is approximately 4.5 hours including a break for lunch.  There is 1 portage around a dam.  We will eat lunch at the portage. The Perkiomen Creek is approximately 45 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club

Marlborough Access, Route 29, Perkiomenville, PA. Coordinates 40.323157, -75.479553.   We will drop off the boats and leave a participant there to look over them while we shuttle our cars to Welakamike.

Take Out: Welakamike Creekside Park, End of West 1st Avenue, Collegeville, PA  Coordinates: 40.18136710405185, -75.44833454473586.   At the end of the trip, we will use the vehicles that we left at Creekside to take drivers back to Marlborough to get their vehicles and get everybody and their boats back together. (mile 6.2)
