The Monday weather forecast for mostly sun and temperatures in the low 40’s and water levels a few inches higher from Sunday’s rain should make for a nice afternoon run.  Paddle moving water, ripples and easy class 1 rapids past woodland, fields and the occasional rock formation.  The time on the water including  a break for a snack/late lunch for this 6 mile trip is approximately 3.5 hours.

Meet at: Brandywine Museum of Art, 1 Hoffmans Mill Road, Chadds Ford, PA  Coordinates: 39.871560077921835, -75.59484884304297.   Make a right off Hoffmans Mill Road at the Brandywine River Museum sign into the parking lot.  Drive straight to the wood picket fence and turn right and park at the end of the lot.  We will drop off the boats and leave a participant there to look over them while we shuttle our cars to Thompsons Bridge.

Take Out: Brandywine State Park, Thompsons Bridge, Brandywine Creek Road, Wilmington, DE Coordinates: 39.816916829134335, -75.56905099840542.   Turn off Thompsons Bridge Road on the East side of Brandywine Creek into the parking lot.  At the end of the trip, we will use a vehicle left at Thompsons Bridge to take drivers back to the Museum to get their vehicles and get everybody and their boats back together.
