The third of PCC’s 5 day trips to paddle 63 miles of the Delaware river from the Delaware Water Gap to Lambertville.  Paddle past Easton, PA and the confluence with the Lehigh river.  Above and below Easton the river is lined by wooded bluffs and high rock cliffs including a 400 foot deep water gap.  This section of the river has smooth waters and simple well-spaced riffles and class 1 rapids. Anticipated trip time for this 12-mile paddle is approximately 5 hours.  We will take breaks and eat lunch along the way.  The Delaware river is approximately 75 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.

Meet at Frost Hollow Overlook ,  Route 611, Easton, PA, Coordinates 40.724557695819044, -75.18769104826535.  We will drop off the boats and leave several participants there to look over them while we shuttle our cars to Tinicum Park.  There are no bathroom facilities.

Take Out at Riegelsville NJ Boat Ramp, 15 Old River Rd, Milford, NJ, Coordinates 40.59362159707582, -75.18463652588491. At the end of the trip, we plan to use the vehicles that we left at Reigelsville to take drivers back to Frost Hollow to get their vehicles and get everybody and the boats back to Reigelsville.  There is a porta potty at this location.

Car shuttle details will be made via email the day before the trip.  If possible we will meet at the take out, consolidate boats onto cars, leave some cars at the take out and drive to the put in. This will save everyone about an hour of driving in the morning.
