This course is designed for beginners, no experience necessary. You will learn how to safely control a whitewater kayak. Class will begin on flatwater and progress to class 2 rapids in the afternoon. Topics covered will be appropriate water clothing and caring for yourself on the water. Class will address proper fit of equipment, paddling strokes, and water reading. You will learn safety techniques and how to protect yourself in the event of a capsize.
