Warm weather all week and the forecast for sun and temperatures in the upper 50’s will be a nice day for an early Spring paddle on the upper Schuylkill starting 20 miles above Reading. The section of the Schuylkill is pleasantly small and bordered by forests for most of the run. The river moves along nicely with many riffles and class 1 and 1 plus rapids. We will take breaks and eat lunch along the way. The anticipated time on the water for this 10.3 mile paddle is 5 hours. The Schuylkill is approximately 85 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.
