The Trip is cancelled due to the forecast for 23 mph winds gusting to over 40 mph.
It's that time of year again! We will be doing our 2nd annual Brandywine Run on New Years Day.
The New Years Eve forecast for rain should give us good water levels for a nice run on the East Brandywine. Paddle pleasant moving water with ripples and class I rapids in between. Woodland, fields and the occasional rock formation border the river as it passes through park lands and farms. Time on the water for this 5 mile paddle is approximately 2.5 hours. The East Brandywine is approximately 50 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club. Afterword head to the club for a pot-luck meal by the fireplace. Bring food to share potluck style.
