Trip, Cedar Creek, Moving Water and Blueberry Picking

Cedar Creek blazes a crooked and at times narrow path through a prime portion of the Pine Barrens within Double Trouble State Park. We will hopefully be rewarded with an abundance of blueberries ripe for the picking along the banks, so bring containers and take some home.  The time on the water for this 6 mile paddle and blueberry picking is approximately 5 hours. We will take a break and eat lunch along the way.  Cedar Creek is approximately 90 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.

Requirements (for your safety): 

• Wear a PFD while on the water and you should have a whistle.
• Wear a bathing suit or quick drying clothes suitable for getting wet.  If the weather is cool dress in layers and have a set of dry clothes with you in the boat.

Suggestions (for your comfort):

• Bring water to drink and a snack/lunch.
• Bring a dry bag or waterproof container for your personal belongings/extra clothes.
• Have a secure place to carry your car keys.
• Have a set of dry clothes in your car if you want to change for the ride home.
