The Oswego is one of the prettiest pine barren's streams. The first half of the trip twists and turns through a white cedar forest. At about halfway the Oswego spreads out into a marshy, multi-channeled, pond-like expanse. Then, paddle the last mile through Harrisville Pond to the takeout. The time on the water for this 6.2 mile paddle is approximately 4.5 hours. We will take a break and eat lunch along the way. The Oswego River is approximately 90 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.
Dress appropriately for cool/cold weather paddling. There are many online sources of information on how to dress. Click here for a link to one such online source from Paddle Boston.
Participants must be American Canoe Association (ACA) members andcomplete an online waiver. Uncertain if you have a waiver?
