Introduction to Canoe (3 Hours)

Introduction to Canoeing - Flatwater

Hours: 5 p.m to 8 p.m

Location: Philadelphia Canoe Club, 4900 Ridge Ave, Philadlephia

This course will introduce the new student to the sport of canoeing. You will learn how to position yourself in a canoe, balance, strokes and boat control.  The course will cover water reading, safety, how to paddle the canoe in straight line, avoid obstacles and what to do in the event of a capsize. 

Dress to be wet, no cotton clothing. Protect you toes, no sandals or flip flops.

If possible, please arrive by 4:30 to fit boats and outfitting so we can begin the class on time. Thanks.
