Trip, Delaware River, Tidal Water

Paddle the Delaware River from Oakwood Beach, Salem County NJ to Fort Mott State Park where we can have lunch. If conditions allow we can cross the channel to Pea Patch Island (landing is prohibited) where there is a large heron rookery. Total round trip distance will be about 10 miles, with the tide in our favor both ways. This is an open water paddle and is exposed to wind and waves. Spray skirts and PFD's are required. Boats should have two bulkheads. No inflatable boats.
