Evening Canoe Clinic Prys and Draws

Prys and draws are used for boat control in both moving and whitewater. They will prevent you from hitting a rock or tree and will keep you on track going downriver. Braces are used for righting the boat when you begin to tip over.

    The class will cover hip pry, stern pry, hip draw, stern draw, bow draw, cross-bow draw, static bow draw, and sculling draw. You may use either a whitewater or flat water canoe.

    Tandem students need to bring a partner.
